Remember that clapping song you may have played way back when that went like this: “Miss Mary Mack Mack Mack, All Dressed In Black Black Black, With Silver Buttons Button Buttons, All Down Her Back Back Back”? Well here’s the grown-up version:
Geoffrey Mac Mac Mac, All Dressed In Black and Yellow (is for rock stars) and Blue and all kinds of shit. While some of the styles are a bit too Avant-garde for my taste (cones on my hips… eh, don’t need to draw more attention to them), I do like the exaggerated shoulder (gives the appearance of a thinner waist to those who are boy-shaped) as well as the fitted dresses.
If you think his work looks familiar, then you’ve probably seen it before. He’s designed for Lady Gaga’s ‘Monster Ball’ tour, as well as collaborated with Lil’ Kim, Britney Spears, Scissor Sisters, and more. Maybe that’s what draws me to his collection, the MTV connection - still feels like family and always will.
