Bra Recycling Month Is Here
Over a year ago, I wrote about the new shape of recycling. Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, I’d like to direct your attention once again to your boulder-holders.
The Bra Recyclers is a textile company that recycles and reuses bras to keep them out of landfills. The bras are then distributed to developing countries throughout the world to help women transition back into self-sufficiency.
This month marks the 3rd Annual Bra Recycling Month! The month long event ties directly to Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Bra Recycling Month offers women a unique opportunity to support and bring awareness to breast cancer and domestic violence through recycling gently used and new bras.
As part of the month long recycling campaign, The Bra Recyclers have partnered with several like-minded companies to provide weekly prize giveaways for anyone who takes part in ‘reshaping a life’ during the month of October. This year’s partnerships are the most exciting to date, they include Affinitas, JGS Travel, Soma Intimates, Leading Lady and Bodacious Boutique.
When you recycle during the month of October, you will be entered into a drawing to win one of several great prizes, including:
1 of 10 bra and panty sets from Affinitas
1 of 3 $25 Restaurant.com Gift Cards from JGS Travel
1 of 4 $25 Gift Cards from Soma Intimates
1 of 4 $50 Off Coupons toward your purchase for Leading Lady products
1 $50 Gift Certificate from Bodacious Boutique
In addition to supporting breast cancer awareness and domestic violence awareness, Bra Recycling Month also brings awareness to the importance of sustainability and delaying the amount of re-usable textile waste ending up in landfills.

Here’s to women supporting women, literally!
