As I head back to LA next week, I’m mapping out my shopping game plan.  There are three things that I absolutely must do on every one of my west coast trips: 1) Eat at Toi on Sunset (rock ‘n roll Thai food and even Lady Gaga is known to drop by); 2) Pick up a vintage rock concert t-shirt at Pop Killers (conveniently located next door to Toi); and 3) Buy a bunch of jewelry at Fred Segal in Santa Monica.

The jewelry buyer at Bettina Duncan is one of the best.  On my last trip, I fell in love with exclamation necklaces (they’re more than a statement) by Joomi Lim.  A little bit sweet, a little bit gypsy, a little bit rock ‘n roll, these pieces are the perfect finish to the polished rocker in each of us.
