Have you heard of Susan Cain? She is the author of Quiet: The Power of Introverts in A World That Can’t Stop Talking. She is a talented researcher and writer. Ms. Cain was a corporate lawyer for many years. She’s a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School. And she’s an introvert.
A third to one half of humans are introverts: Those individuals who are watchful, slow-to-warm-up, and re-energize by being alone. Introverts are leaders. Introverts and actors. Introverts are professors and researchers and artists. Introverts do all the things that extroverts do; however, they need to observe before leaping, process before joining, and be alone before and after socializing.
If you are an introvert - or know and love an introvert - or work with introverts - or are an introvert who has two work in an extroverted-leaning society - by all means, check out Ms. Cain’s blog.
This is very interesting. Relieved that being an introvert isn’t a bad thing!
