Though Marc Jacobs recently said his favorite nail polish is clear, it seems that mani-mania is still going strong on the runway. Kate Spade’s theme at NYFW was “Places to Go, People To See”, nails were a statement accessory that blended perfectly with the 1950’s retro vibe.
For Honor’s spring 2014 fashion show, celeb manicurist Deborah Lippmann created nail art inspired by the shoes models wore down the runway.

Nail Trends for 2013 include Ciate’s Very Colourfoil Manicure (pictured above), a leather manicure (!?) by Nails Inc, and OPI’s Liquid Sand that leaves your nails covered with a rough glitter texture (sounds like a polish-removing nightmare).
I can’t even think about nails right now in the cold NYC weather! Just gimme a pair of gloves until the blood returns to my fingertips.
